Application — Growth

One Closed Box Air Intake listing carries 62 reviews, yet that proof stays buried in its page while the catalog reads OBSOLETE.

Danilo Vicioso

Who I am

  • Former COO of Tabs. Built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it.
  • Founded Mainstreet, a consumer home-services platform: a team of 70, $25M raised (Greylock, Khosla, YC, Tim Ferriss). It failed.
  • Before that: Quintessential Ventures, an early seat at a high-growth startup, and entrepreneur-in-residence at Prehype.
  • I'm moving into growth specifically. The creative and top-of-funnel work is what I want to be doing every day.

What I noticed

  • The DryTech Filter (5120D) Replacement Air Filter costs $84.99, a clear single-price product that ads can use as the simplest first offer to test.
  • Aluminum Oil Catch Can w/ Bracket (VC0010) 2011-2025 Ford F-150, Tremor 3.5L Turbo costs $144.90 with 3 oz. capacity and a 1 Year Warranty, but that proof never travels to other fitments.
  • Review proof is uneven: one Closed Box Air Intake listing shows 62 reviews from $378.41, while other listings read Not Available, so the strongest listing is not obviously the lead.

What I built

What I'd do here

  • My KPI: scale ad spend, hold target CAC. Everything else follows from that, from a $144.90 catch can to a Closed Box Air Intake.
  • Week to week: launching a bunch of different experiments, losers killed early, with one variable per test across truck fitments like Silverado, Bronco and Wrangler.
  • Creators who fit: Silverado and Sierra owners, Bronco and Wrangler off-roaders, and garage DIYers who film an Aluminum Oil Catch Can w/ Bracket install.
  • Reporting so you never have to ask. Daily CAC. Weekly what we learned. Monthly cohort payback.
  • Event tracking I'd spec and work through with your team. That part isn't me, and it matters for fitment-based orders.

Creators come on two a week, ten live by week six. Each posts the same number of videos a week, so volume climbs from 14 to 70. New ads and landing pages follow the creators. Proposed.

Creator videos a week = creators live × videos per creator. Week 1: 0 × 7 = 0; Week 2: 2 × 7 = 14; Week 3: 4 × 7 = 28; Week 4: 6 × 7 = 42; Week 5: 8 × 7 = 56; Week 6: 10 × 7 = 70.

How I'd start

  • Build a claims sheet from your listings: catch can capacity, warranty line and filter life wording, so every ad uses only words you publish.
  • Recruit Silverado, Sierra and Bronco owners first, because your catch cans and Closed Box Air Intakes have the deepest fitment lists for those trucks.

I'd love to chat if this makes sense. Grab a time here.
